They can warm you in severe winter or protect you in summer against excessive cooling of your body and developing rheumatism. Identify the conditions you sleep in

Some sleep in two pajamas under a blanket and a comforter, while others open a window and with no pajamas on fall asleep under a light blanket. Identifying the conditions of sleep, the ambient temperature and your personal preferences will help you to buy the product to your satisfaction and to take care of the comfort of your sleep. Therefore, if you live in a warm climate zone purchasing a winter comforter will not be a good idea, correspondingly when living in the far north you will not have a good night sleep covered with a summer comforter.

how to pick the right size of a comforter

when buying a comforter it always good to first take a look at your bed and measure it. Finding a perfect comforter size for your bed is seldom successful. What is usually done is buying a comforter that has approximate size, however it cannot be smaller. A comforter should cover your bed completely, alternatively it can stick out.

what the weight of comforter fill should be

The insulating values are mainly influenced by three parameters: the fill type, its weight and degree of chamber filling. A heavier comforter characterized with a smaller degree of filling may warm worse that a lighter comforter with a higher degree of filling.
At Puchland all products have the same, i.e. high degree of filling. You can read more about it on the subpages related to quality (look menu on the left). For this reason what decides about the degree of chamber filling in our case is mainly the weight of fill.

You need not know the size of this parameter as for your comfort our models are diversified due to their weight and their names give the idea who they are designated for. It is worth adding that 25% down is heavier than down. So if you prefer to sleep under heavier comforters, the 25% down ones would be just for you.
